Terms of Service
Summary: GasShield is a 100% non-custodial Web3 transaction middleware and browser extension. We never touch, manage, or store your private keys, funds, or assets. You retain sovereign control over all transactions and approve them in your wallet.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or interacting with the GasShield browser extension, web application (gasshield.online), smart contracts, or relayer APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. Non-Custodial Architecture & User Sovereignty
GasShield operates strictly as a client-side middleware. Under no circumstances does GasShield:
- Access, generate, transmit, or store private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.
- Take custody of digital assets, tokens, or smart contract balances.
- Execute transactions without explicit cryptographic approval by your local wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, etc.).
All calldata optimization, opcode inspection, and drainer-proof simulations take place locally in your browser environment before forwarding the signed payload to public or private RPC endpoints.
3. Transparent Value-Share & Fee Structure
GasShield's economic model is built on fair value sharing:
- Layer-2 Networks (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism): $0.00 Protocol Fee. Users receive free MEV sandwich protection, drainer audits, and calldata optimization with zero commission.
- Ethereum Mainnet: GasShield charges a protocol commission of 50% of verified gross gas savings on optimized swaps. If an operation yields zero savings, zero protocol fee is charged.
4. No Financial, Legal, or Investment Advice
GasShield is an open-source engineering tool for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) gas optimization and security inspection. Nothing contained in our software, documentation, website, or community channels constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Cryptocurrency trading and DeFi interactions carry inherent market and smart contract risks.
5. Open-Source Software & License
The GasShield protocol, smart contracts, and extension components are distributed under the permissive MIT License. The software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
